I want to tell stories with photographs. Even though I love making art, I also know that photos are an essential part of effective communications and how they can be used to support commercial business.
I photograph people, events, for magazines, art photos, illustrations… Most of all I like to photograph things that are exciting and have a sense of danger about them. Things that are funny and interesting.
I have over 20 years of experience of visual communication, mostly in the commercial world. I can make create according to purpose, budget, schedule and the visual framework, but I usually get the best results without any tight guidelines, when I am just scanning the environment instinctively.
I graduated from the University of Lapland as a bachelor of fine arts and from SASKY Municipal Education and Training Consortium as a bachelor of culture and arts. I also have vocational photographer’s and magazine photographer’s qualifications from Gradia.
At home, I am a wife and a mother of three children. My hobbies include Ashtanga yoga, gardening, book and art in all its forms. I speak more with photos than with words. I commit myself to long projects and go to bed early in the evening.
